Dove Dark Chocolate!

I made this bracelet to enter into the Vintaj Natural Brass May challenge, but missed the deadline.  I am happy with how it came out so decided to share it here on my blog.  The challenge theme was “My Favorite Things” so my inspiration paragraph for this piece was going to be:  My favorite things – Dove Dark Chocolate of course – Duh!

The findings are from Vintaj Natural Brass: altered blanks, chain,  jump rings, wire, bead caps, and melon spacer beads.

I also used various glass, seed, and faceted beads in shades of brown and bronze.

The red beads are wadded up dove wrappers, dipped in Mod Podge.  The long red beads are wrappers folded around a mandrel and wire wrapped.  I adhered  wrappers to the altered blanks and decorated them with Ranger Stickles, Tim Holtz distress inks, and Swarovski flat back crystals before sealing with either magic glos or renaissance wax.  They are reversible and have some of my favorite Dove quotes.  I made the hook clasp myself with bronze wire.

Happy designing,

These bracelets will then be distributed to participating families in December 2011.}}}
