Crown Postal pendant by Andrew Thornton

I was the lucky winner of one of Andrew Thornton’s Crown Postale pendants!  (My name suggestion helped inspire the name for these limited edition lovelies!)

These gorgeous pendants contain vintage postage stamps or paper ephemera encased in a bezel with a filigree backing.

Take a look at Andrew’s other Crown Postale pendants as well as his other wonderful items at Andrew’s Big Cartel shop.

Here is a picture of what I designed with the pendant I received, named “Regal Brass”.

To keep with the vintage feel of this pendant, I designed this Victorian style necklace using bead links from a vintage necklace found at a flea market,  some jasper beads, Czech crystal beads and brass chain and findings from Vintaj Natural Brass company.

I am very pleased with the results and hope I did this beautiful pendant justice!

Happy designing!

  • Bravo! You’ve done a most excellent job. Thank you for your help in naming the series and for creating such a jaw-dropping piece! NICE! (Oh, and I can’t tell for certain but I believe the find you got at the flea market might have been vintage Miriam Haskell milk glass.)

So glad you like it! Miriam Haskell milk glass huh? – that would be really cool! (Glad the piece was already broken before I chopped it up :)
