Monthly Archives: May 2012

Last week was full of great news!

First, I was asked to be the designer highlight for Bead Trends Magazine Jan issue!!!!! This means I will have an 8 to 10 page spread including my photo, bio, and several of my designs. I am so excited!

A few months ago I was looking through a Bead Trends issue and told my husband that I will know that I have made it if Bead Trends ever asks me to be their designer highlight!

So, to prepare for the photo I got my hair cut last week and did a little clothes shopping. Now all that is needed is to loose about 20 lbs and get rid of some wrinkles.
So here is the to do list:

  • Diet
  • Start Exercising
  • Win lottery
  • Get facelift

So much to do and so little time!

I also discovered last week that my necklace is on the cover of the Summer issue of Stringing Magazine!!!!! Wow!!!

Guess I am on my way to being like my favorite artist – Van Gogh – a famous starving artist.
Except I am not dead yet and have no short term plans to cut off an ear.

All kidding aside – I am so very happy that my work brings me so much joy and that others like it too!

May Allegory Gallery Design Team Reveal

This month I made a pair of earrings with some of the beads I received from the Allegory Gallery.

These earrings incorporate some really cool white vintage glass beads and Czech fire-polished  beads.  I added Swarovski crystal bicones, black and gun metal chains,  Vintaj Arte Metal jump rings, head pins, and ear wires from my own stash.
